    References & Dependencies

Inspector 2 had a feature called RedDots (and GreenDots).

Now there is a 'D' and an 'R' column... The D column represents dependencies, the R column represents References...

If the R column has a "0" value in it then the FileMaker element is not being referenced. But caution should still be taken because it is possible to have a function within quotes and have the Evaluate function evaluate it. Go to the functions list and see if you are using the Evaluate function. If not, then you should be good to delete (in the case of a custom function). With fields you'd have to look for the specific filed and for 'Set field by name'.

The only place where the DDR is not reporting field information is when a field is used as part of a sort operation. Otherwise, Inspector informs you of each instance of a field usage.
